40 down, 20 to go...

As I said early, the start of the game was going to be key, but now the start of this period will be of even greater all started last night on the opening shift of the period and the Ducks sat at home and watched it...

Two desperate hockey teams battling here tonight. Only one team is going to come out of here with a victory. As Tootoo tweeted earlier, this is gut check time. This is the time you dig deep and battle like there's no tomorrow. Keep it simple, keep the shifts short, leave it all out on the ice...

Sullivan avoiding contact at all costs turned the puck over three times in our end in the second period pinning our guys out there for extended shifts and giving momentum to the Ducks...MAN UP SULLY!!!

Gotta keep on the gas pedal when appropriate and keep up the forechecking pressure to disrupt the Anaheim transition, but must also be sure to recognize that when a defenseman pinches that he has support coming back and staying back to cover...

Still need more traffic in front of Hiller...when the cycle gets going and we feed the puck out to the point, but Anaheim is doing a good job of keeping the net front clear. Gotta get gritty and win those battles to the tough areas of the ice...

Gritty, not pretty...40 down, 20 to go...NO EXCUSES, JUST GET IT DONE!!!
