Welcome aboard, again. I've been a Rangers fan since 1979, and in that time have seen many heartbreaks, and many poor teams, as well as many exciting truimphs and many great teams. It is what being a fan is all about. True fans stick with their team no matter what. It makes winning all the more special. I became a Rangers fan at a time when being an Islander fan would have been a wiser choice, as they were on the cusp of winning 4 Cups in a row, had a great team, and one of my brothers was a fan. I didn't and cast my fate with the Rangers as my Dad and other brother were fans. Yes the 80's were torture, but a new dawn came in 94, and by going thru so much heartache for 15 years it made the winning the Cup that much sweeter. Things are never as bad as they seem, and I'll take the current Rangers team over any of the grossly overpaid, and under achieving teams of 1997-2005. And people think it's bad now? Try being a STH during that time period.
