The talent is apparent but is just one component. It seems to me that Gretzky was being interviewed once upon a time and being complimented upon his tremendous talent and how he was far and away the most talented player in the game (this was before Mario blossomed). Gretzky demurred. No, no, you are wrong. The most talented player in the league is Kent Nillson (The Magic Man). That was back when he was getting 200 points a season and before KN ever played for the Oil. Just a reminder that talent is only one component. That said. The kid definitely has that part down pat.
