the outcome was bitter, but it was a great game, in my opinion, better than any game in the cup run, better than any world/canada cup game (87's and 94's finals were great, too).

That series also marked another milestone in NYR history. Bubba was never the same after that shoulder injury. I also just watched last night Game 4 of the next round, isles vs flyers. Strange to see players playing with both hands on the stick and keeping their sticks down (it goes without saying that that statement excludes Clarke & Van Impe). Wonder if there is a correlation between players keeping their sticks down and players not wearing helmets?
