I agree with you that he certainly isn't the fastest guy out there, but he does have a nose for the net. I got to watch a dozen Ottawa games before coming to Edmonton this summer, and Kilrea plays him in all situations, including the PK. Everytime Locke and Foy were on the ice when shorthanded, they were a threat to score.
I think with some hard work to get bigger and a little quicker, we have a player in Locke. Like the saying can't teach offense...and Locke has offense, a knack for finding holes and his teammates...I hope the kid proves the nay sayers wrong.
