People's expectations need to get out from the stratosphere.

Just because they've reached higher and fallen a bit doesn't mean expectations suddenly rise to the point where the coach needs to be fired and Brown needs to give up his captaincy whenever the Kings go on a 4 game losing streak.

This team was not as good as it was during that 9 game win streak (arguably they were struggling during that but managing to still win games) and it's not as bad as what we're seeing right now. They'll get back to that middle ground eventually.

For you negative nancy's ready to say "the Kings are running out of time!", just save it. The hardest part a team that's so used to losing has to learn is how to become a winner again, and we're seeing a rather epic struggle to do that. That losing culture doesn't just magically vaporize when you've been the NHL's doormat for 8 years. It's a tough thing to shake... particularly when fans start jumping ship well before the team has.
