Especially when you consider how those assets were used. Ricci was traded to obtain Tanguay...Jocelyn Thibault (one of the first round picks) traded to get Roy. Simon was moved to get Parker (wow, that was a waste)...it trickled down into stuff like the Bourque and Blake deals.
He may be but far and away is just being a bit over the top. Anyone of the players involved in the Ranger deal would be a notch below. Kovalev is not so far behind. The fact the Ranger deal included 3 superstars is enough to make that "way better" then Forsberg.
