Very sad.The players are going to face a rude awakening.They still think the NHL will cave or blink in the end.If you read the comments from Tom Poti,Mark Parrish and Chris Chelios from the last couple of days,all three players feel the NHL will cave.Bob Goodenow has done a terrific job convincing the players that the owners will cave.Goodenow has not made a proposal or offered any alternative since December 9.That's over two months ago.He did not bother to pick up the phone over the weekend after the NHL initiated most of the previous talks.When the PA did initiate talks with the NHL,Trevor Linden and Bob Boughner pushed for them.According to the Hockey News issue with Jarome Iginla on the cover,Goodenow did not like Linden going over his head.So many players will never play another NHL game again
