He was ahead of Kurka, Hilbert, Boyes, Aulin, Yakubov, Varobiev, Smirnov, Smith
A lot of those guys aren't worth high 2nd rounders nowadays either. Boyes in particular was traded straight up for a decent 3rd line forward in Curtis Brown. Aulin got Anson Carter, but Washington's motivation (aka $$$) for that trade is way different than a team trying to trade down in the draft.

I could see Lehoux having value in a trade similar to Anshakov/Straka where the other team is somewhat desperate to dump a bad contract.
