Check out the newspapers from various locales

This site (I am sending on 2/17/05) has the front pages of major newspapers from the U.S. and Canada. You can see how different newspapers covered the cancellation. Columbus, Detroit and various Canadian papers among others had huge displays on their front pages. The back of the New York Post (not shown on this link) had R.I.P.: The Day Hockey Died with a crack in the Stanley Cup. I saw the Philly Daily News, too. This site lists papers alphabetically by each U.S. state, followed by different countries. Keep the cursor over the image and it will enlargen to the right.
