in the last 3-4 years, the oilers either made a little monet or posted a small profit. Hamrlik was paid 2+ mill per year more than eric and he would not have increased the oiler revenue by one nickle. The oilers did not "lose" the trade. They may not have won the trade but they didn't lose it either.

In the last 4 years, the islanders have lost 30 million dollars. I would like to hear an islander fan coming to this site and saying that he would pay an extra 3-4$ per ticket to have hammer over eric as that is what he costs extra every ticket holder, every game. If you can say that it is worth the price, then your islanders won the trade.
