For one, the Rays will be in the race, two, they aren't trading him to the Yankees or anyone else in the division, three, why would the Yankees trade for him win he will be a FA at season's end?
As for Cliff Lee not a big fan of him and spending big money on pitchers who at some point always get hurt. In fact I think he's overrated.
He had the big year in Cleveland in 2008. And was great in the NL in the second half with Philly.
Before that check out his career stats. ERA in the 4's 5's 6's. He had a good year in 05.
But for the money he's going to command, I don't think he's worth it. He's not on Sabathia's level imo, be he's going ask for his money.
