I personally dislike the "road to Nashville..." mentality. If you have a kid good enough to skate in the NHL, let him play. He'll either sink or swim, but if he swims he'll adapt alot quicker IMO.
Disagree to a point. Sinking or swimming works for some, but if the confidence of a kid gets hammered because he's not used to the speed of the game, that can set back his development by years. If you get a Stamkos or a Crosby in a draft, that's different, but guys like that only come every few years.
