I don't think it's "overrated". Not if you're the average person.

If you're an entertainer (athlete, singer, actor,...) and you know you are good enough in those fields to make a career/money, then college is pretty useless. Or you're a smart business man/woman.
So unless you're really talented, college is not overrated imo.
