This habit of grabbing unhappy players, other teams' problems and trying to *build* (not complement) a team with that.

Unfortunately at the time (and it was Milburys' dealings that led to this) it was the only way to get anyone to come to LI. Even Hamrlik (initially) was reluctant to come to our organization when he was traded. At that point the Isles were playing to 3,000 fans...

We had to go over players that were problem-children.

Yashin and Peca's stories are well documented. Osgood was basically let go by Detroit and Aucoin apparently didn't fit into Florida's plans whatsoever. That's how we were basically forced to build a team.

Yashin's attitude has been excellent since he's been here. Very rarely has he griped at all about anything. Most of the time he insists on talking about the "team" and not about his lack of a decent forward on the first line. Peca is our captain and Aucoin's been a workhorse. If anything, those three are our most important character players, as well as Scatchard who Darth referred to.
