When the NHL was with ESPN before, they didn't have the NBA to compete with for telecast time. That's important, because the best thing about ESPN and the NHL was getting playoff games on ESPN and ESPN2 (in college I could follow 4 games a night if they weren't showing the Flyers on one of the games with the two early games and one late game).

Doubt we'll get that from them again...so Versus doesn't really lose anything there. As far as exposure, it's probably better to get tied to ESPN due to their spread, website, etc.
You're far better at these TV deals than I am. Do you have any idea how this would effect local markets, particularly our work with CSN?

I think we're in a unique position being tied directly to Comcast.
