- Good showing of Spain U20 team. A lot of players of this team are also at the Spain's National team, like Juan Muñoz (one of the best forwards actually in Spain) or Alejandro Pedraz (arguably the best prospect outside Spain). Great showing of Ander Alcaine, despite the lack of playing at the Liga Nacional (injury). Pedraz, despite the fact that Muñoz passed him at the scorer table, he adopted a more "first pass" type of player and assited very well all the tournament.
- They played very well against Great Britain, a country with more ice hockey development and a great young team. OT loss, but great game of Juan Muñoz and Oscar Vázquez (SAD Majadahonda). In general, this was a very good tournament for Spain, and a great way to prepare the core of the Senior Team. Players like Alcaine, Muñoz, Pedraz, Boronat, Hernández or Betrán are a very important part of the success of the Spain National Team at World Championships at Mexico.
