Tips to get your legs going?

Recently when I play games, my legs feel about 1000 pounds for the entire first period. Once the game goes on I tend to loosen up and I feel fine. I stretch before every game and the league gives us about a five minute warm up but nothing seems to help. Are there any ways to improve how I feel early in a game? Any drills or different stretches?
