Yes and no. That's the type of deal which I could possibly see happening over the summer as both players have a couple years left before free agency. There's still the question of Hemsky's health and how he will fare next year after only playing twenty games, but there are pieces which would make the deal work if both GMs wanted to make a trade.
With that said, I don't believe Fletcher will trade Burns this year and is serious about giving the present blue-line a shot (i.e. not overpaying for a replacement in free agency or placing high expectations on someone in Houston). That might not be the case next year, but at that point I would be looking for prospects and picks rather than a lateral move with free agency. I'd assume the Oilers would be too.
