They should go back to being conservative.
That's not a very good comparison. He's injured and that could happen to anybody.
But Jimmy Waite, Jason Muzzati, etc... were healthy.
Not really applicable, IMO. Not only have scouts come a long way in judging a goalie's talent since then, but you don't word one about the goalie's recently taken in the top 5. Luongo, Lehtonen, Dipietro, and Fleury. Not a bad crop at all and all of them have
high ceiling's and values. Much more specific and revelent to the argument at hand, IMO.
As for Emery and Havlat for Fleury, you'll notice that not once did I say the Sens would do it. I just said that's what it would take to get him. You don't say word one about how any team that wanted Maffy would have to grossly overpay for him because he's such and integral part of the Pens future. Sorry, but that's the way it is.
