Actually Ovechkin will get blanked, turn over the puck numerous times, not backcheck allowing the other team to score, and then give up trying halfway through the game after he has picked himself up off the ice a few times. It is a clever strategy to use his own propensity for engaging his opponents physically against him, especially when he is too bull-headed to change his approach mid-game, which was my original point.
