Everyone is excited about the potential of Kulemin, but don't forget, there is a chance he does not improve significantly enough to justify 3M. If he can't score 50 pts and bring that rugged game consistently, then he is not worth it. And not to pinhole him with a hockey stereotype, but who's to say he is going to coast after signing a great contract. So many players seem to do this, just like Grabovski. Then we are stuck with yet another overpaid underacheiver.

I don't think this is going to end well. Either overpaid or in the K. Best case scenario would be a 2 year deal at his requested money. It would keep him honest as far as effort is concerned, unless he's happy with 1 contract, in which case, he won't to hard to trade or demote.
