The difference between the Habs and the Hawks is that when the Hawks came into the offensive zone with speed they could actually retain puck possession. With the Habs, it was one meager shot and time to skate back in the opposite direction.
Look at the third, both teams tightened up their play and only 1 goal was scored. You can look at every individual goal tonight and say there were some weak ones, but if you take it in context of the game, both goalies got hung out to dry. One goal was on a 2 on 1, one was a breakaway, four were absolute wide open shots in the slot, one bounced off someone's face and went in the net, another one was on a point shot with a scramble at the net, ect., neither of the goalies played stellar, but they didn't have much help at all, the whole game was a slop show.
