Besides I am willing to bet that any transaction or dealings that have anything to do with Mellanby, St. Louis and/or Vancouver will have to be cleared by The League because of the very points you've brought up.
It is a non-issue imho. Draft and draft trades are done. By July 15th, most of the UFAing is done. Might make it harder to unload some of our dud prospects on that team, but it might also facilitate trade options if they feel comforatble trading for our prospects because Mellanby liked one or two.
Don't think it really matters anymore than a teams AHL coach taking an NHL job somewhere else. Now that guys knows the prospects better than anyone else and teams don't worry about it. Or an assistant GM changing teams.
