Take the hint bud, no one is buying your argument. You're the only one that thinks the Oilers get the better of this deal. The difference between Laraque and Neil IS NOT minimal. Laraque is a better player and has far greater value than Neil does. Vermette had a solid 1st season but he isn't the top prospect you make him out to be. He has the makings of a 2nd line centre. As for him being a better prospect than anyone Edmonton has, that's debatable. Players such as Rita, Stoll, Niinimaki, Deslauriers, Pouliot and Torres (is he a prospect still???) all are better prospects IMO. This deal does nothing for Edmonton. As was mentioned, they have no need for Vermette or Kaigorodov and Neil doesn't replace what they lose in Laraque.
