When it comes to ice time, the Avs top two lines generally get around 20 minutes, the third line gets around 15, and the 4th line gets the remaining 5. That has been pretty constant since the Avs moved to Denver no matter who was the coach.

Last year, Kariya averaged 20:17 minutes and Selanne averaged 19:13. That fits into the Avs norm perfectly. You can make the argument that they will each lose a little power play time...but I don’t think that will be enough to knock them down to 50 points.

Injuries could do it, of course.
