Would be hard to pass up Faulk at 56, as we could really use a high-end offensive d-man prospect, but Martindale would be good value at that point.
This was my thought process. I almost took Martindale at 39 so the fact that he was still available at 56 and a couple of other defenseman (Faulk, Aronson, Alt, Holl) could still be available at 69 sealed the deal.
I took Pulkinnen at 39 because I believed he would not have made it to 56 over Martindale and Jason Zucker. Things would have been different if trades were possible because I didn't like the position of 39 (my board got killed) but oh well.
