Steve Yzerman, no doubt. I know his name poped up alot, but there isn't enough words to describe how courageous he truely is. Sure, he was a hyped up top pick who produced big early in his career. But he has since been the longest serving captain currently in the NHL (possibly all time now), and sustained a huge knee injury that he never really recovered from. After he had that unpresidented surgery, he still wanted to play and risked his future ability to walk to do so. You can tell by watching him how much pain he is in, but he brings a whole new dimension to The Wings. Leadership by example. If a (figuratively speaking...) one legged 38 or so old man can play better than half the players on the ice, maybe we should step up and show we have even half as much heart as he does. I think I have said enough...
