Yeah it was bad. La Guerre. The Habs forced the Nords to hire security around the bench and te box where management types were sitting because they were getting pelted with garbage and being spit on. To be fair though, the rivalry was not strictly on the ice. French/English relations were really bad at the time, with Montreal being more English and Quebec City almost totally French. But those were some ugly, ugly games, playoffs or regular season.
