I think that with the links I provided, I made my point.
Edit: BTW, It is because of you that I tought to look at the number of USHL teams vs CHL.

My bias against the NCAA means that I dislike players who take the NCAA route. I prefer the CHL because it's more NHL-like, in the way the game is played, number of games, the focus on hockey rather than school, etc. Obviously there are some NCAA divisions that are stronger, and programs like Michigan, Wisconsin, NoDak are pretty good, but you're completely missing the point I'm bringing up.
The NCAA, regardless of my opinion on it, has produced some pretty good players in the last few years. Parise, Zajac, Komisarek, Cammalleri, Toews, etc. On the other hand, the ECAC's best player recently is Chris Higgins. Yes Leblanc may have more talent, but you can't ignore the fact that the ECAC doesn't produce top-end talent, and thus Leblanc doesn't have the chance to play against his equals. He will play 1/4 of his season against good schools, but for the rest of the season, he's playing against mostly players who aren't aiming to make the pros. I'd find articles, but today I'm rather busy. Just look at the ECAC NHL alumni.
