I know many are sayin gsave the gatoraide for after. I would try G2 beforehand. It is the reduced sugar gatoraide that will ensur your electrolytes stay in balance. Water only, while keeping you hydrated, can throw your electrolytes out of whack.

As a recovery, don't do original Gatoraide after the game. it is all sugar. Drink their new product, G3. It has the electrolytes like G2 but also has protein to aide in muscle recovery.
