Well the only way we sign a d-man outside perhaps a #7 (which we don't really need either) is if one of Hamrlik or Spacek is dealt. And that, in turn, would free up some cap space to sign those guys. Hopefully we can find a partner to take on one of these contracts without grabbing much salary back, and then it could be realistic. I'd love to see Markov - Volchenkov as our top pairing.
Cammalleri - Marleau - A. Kostitsyn
Pouliot - Gomez - Gionta
Lapierre - Eller - Pyatt
Moen - Moore - White
Markov - Volchenkov
Spacek - Subban
Gill - Gorges
Would be a bit of a squeeze, but I think it could fit. Depends what kind of payday Marleau and Volchenkov are looking for.
Of course, all this is far more speculation than any kind of substantiated rumour.
Oh, and about the actual thread itself... there is no way Los Angeles is trading Dustin Brown. NO. WAY.
