OK, something pretty funny I have to tell everyone. I had met his coach Ken McRae many years ago when I was a kid. At the time, Ken was one of the highest rated prospects coming out of Canada at the time. I think we were both around the age of 15 or 16 at the time. We had met while on vacation in the Catskill mountains in NY. He had a brother who was a bit of a clown and although he looked like he had no idea what he was doing on skates, he never fell down. Almost too good for his own good. Ken was a pretty soft spoken kid at the time and very focused on his hockey career.
I tried to follow where he went after we had met and I think he ended up getting drafted by Quebec if memory serves me correctly. He played with them and Toronto for brief stints but never lived up to the lofty expectations that were thrown upon him. Glad to see he landed as a coach and great to see his review on Watson and the type of player he is. Small world we live in.
