A question to the fans league wide: Do you view Stuart as damaged goods? A young player who has a bad ankle, a bad noggin, and now a bad shoulder. Would you say that this young potential All-Star dman still has it, or is he too injury prone?
Stuart is only 24-years old and has only played for 4-seasons in the NHL and 2 of those 4 seasons he played in all 82-games......last season was the only real season where he missed plenty of games due to injury........I wouldn't give up on him just yet....most defencemen take longer to develop in the NHL compared to forwards...as well my rule of thumbs for hockey players in Pools are:
(a) Forwards start to reach their potential by the 3rd-year
(b) Defencemen start to reach their potential by their 5th year
Stuart entering his 5th NHL season this year meant for me that he was going to have not only his best NHL season to date but as well get selected to play in the Allstar game.
