Yeah a lot of people just write 5'9 instead of 5'9" (or 5-foot and 9-inches) because the inches are implied.
I wish I were 5'9. Oh well, good thing most other rec league hockey players are either short or fat.
Oh yeah, and Google will usually convert things like that for you.
