I don't like the idea of Krieder going from College, then maybe a brief stint in the AHL, to the NHL after next season. I believe the gap between College and the AHL is greater than the AHL and NHL, especially in the mental aspect of the game, an area many believe he needs the most development. If they can get him minutes in Hartford, and feel he is ready, I'm for it. Get him all of this year, part of next, and then maybe a mid-season call-up. I'm sure he will dominate in college if he goes back, but maybe he's ready for the next step.

With Grachev, Anisimov had only 43 points in his first AHL season, and exploded the following year. Grachev, from what I understand, was given limited opportunity last year. Reminds me of how Lisin is treated here. People are comparing his numbers as if everyone's "Games Played" were equal. If you accounted for minutes played, and the qualify of those minutes, the view would be different.
