Hopefully they can hammer out a longer-term deal before the hearings start. He will only get a 1 year deal from the arbitrator which will make him a UFA after next season. It will more then likely cost more money to re-sign him after next season then it would be to sign him to a longer-term deal now.

Four years $3.1 million cap hit. Get it done!
