Bad for LA. First, I'll try to be objective as possible and not consider the value each player has to his team, just their overall general value.

Gagne>Bernier
Johnson>Coburn
Carter>>Brown
So how valuable is Schenn? Enough to make it in favor of Philly.

Now considering value to team.

Bernier>Gagne (Kings love Bernier and want their two young goalies to compete, Gagne "needs" to be traded because of the cap)

Coburn=Johnson (always seems to be some tension w/ Johnson and LA, Coburn is more expensive this year but will probably be cheaper the following)

Carter>Brown (small better, Brown is LA's captain, LA already has a #1 highly paid center, Carter will be getting a substantial raise next year, Carter is a better player by a reasonable margin)

Schenn is LA's best prospect, fits well with the team LA is building with a lot of physical and talented players, he's a center and they don't have a 2nd line center at this point and no other prospects or young guys who fit the bill.

No way LA does this.
