Way to ignore the rest of his career?

The year before last he posted a .916 save percentage and 2.62 GAA in one less game. He also posted some pretty decent stats in Dallas. Besides, it's not like Niitty did much better there. That team just doesn't give their goalies a lot of support except for goal-scoring.

You also don't seem to realize that he's played behind crap defenses and crap teams for the majority of his career.

If playing behind the best defense in the league can allow Michael ****ing Leighton to be a Stanley Cup Final goalie then I'd be interested to see how it can make a goalie like Mike Smith look.

I can understand that Smith isn't exactly a great goalie, but I don't know how any of you can deny that it's a hell of an upgrade over Boucher or Leighton or even both of them combined.
