"A few years later, Roy demanded Keane be part of his trade to the Colorado Avalanche."

Say what?

That's not in Roy's biography, and I still vividly remember those few days. When Roy was suspended and heading out the door, the team was downcast but determined to go on. Keane was right out in front saying all the usual things - "Sad we have to lose him but we're going to go out there and work hard and win hockey games," that sort of thing.

When the trade was announced and Keane was leaving, the team was shattered. Guys like Turgeon and Damphousse were speechless. Keane was in tears at having to leave. No player interviewed had anything to say about losing Roy that day; it was all about Keane. Reggie Houle, damn his incompetent hide, ripped the heart out of the team that day and I never forgave him for that.

No way Roy orchestrated that.
