I was a proponent of trading Carter before Gagne this year, but at this point trading Carter is almost ******** enough to make it a possibility for Homer...

Things that make this a Homer-possible move:

1) With Gagne gone our low ES goal totals will be even lower, so Homer would want to trade our best ES goal scorer.
2) Carter is a RFA next year and therefore Holmgren has leverage in his contract negotiations... except if you look at how he overpaid Coburn and Jones.
3) If someone offer sheets Carter we are going to get AT LEAST 2 1sts, a 2nd and a 3rd draft pick - Homer hates those nasty things.

The facts all add up! We better trade Carter before we lose him for nothing!

To compound it... let's trade him for an albatross goalie contract like Thomas so we STILL lose one of Leino/Giroux next year. Hurrah!
