Niemi is an ugly goalie, poor rebound control and not technically sound. He is big, that is it.

At least Price is big, young and skilled.

Completely agree. Niemi is a rebound machine and has less upside than Price imo. I don't care for the opinion that he got the Hawks to the Cup, Leighton got the Flyers to the finals too but noone thinks he's the 2nd coming. Really good teams don't need lights out goaltending to win. Add to that, he'll also be more expensive and you start to wonder why on earth this deal makes any sense!?
