Good for him and good for the party.

Yeah, he may end up being a weak politician, but the Green Party needs exposure now and this is a great way to do it: giving a role to a very popular person (who has beliefs related to the party) who's coming to a crossroads in his career.

To all of you who say: oh the Green Party sucks, imagine Laraque in Ottawa, blablabla. The reason why most people vote Green is not because we want the Green party to be in charge of the country, but for that party to have a seat or two. They act as the conscience of the Liberals and Conservatives in terms of environmental issues.
