Many posters here know how I feel about Markov. I do not hate the man, and I believe he is a gifted player. My issue is his durability.

To say Markov is "irreplaceable" does not have the same ring it did 2-3 seasons ago. This guy is one more knee injury away from being finished for good. We managed well without him through the Pittsburgh series, and held the fort during his long absence in the regular season (albeit at the cost of a "spent" Hamrlik). Th emergence of Subban can help with a Markov departure.

Losing Markov would definitely be felt, but I feel the trade I poroposed overall; including the addition of a Bieksa, would make the club stronger overall now, and down the road............. I just have a bad feeling that Markov is going to let us down with his health......AGAIN.
