I would go personally with a trade. Considering the season will be started and most decent UFA will be gone.
Hopefully, we will have major assets in the minor so we can trade for a 1B guy on another team, everyone but Thomas.
You cannot tank. It is not an option, not in Montreal. We had the team to do it for years, and we still managed to do well and that's what the fans wanted, mediocrity while being in the playoff race.
