If we were just talking bringing back a fave that fits in the mix, I think I'd choose Hartnell. However, if I'm trying to fill a remaining hole, not sure that does it for us. We have a ton of Fs - granted, several talented but unproven - but I'm not sure that's a significant enough step up over what we got to be the 'for sure' thing. Brunette??????

We need a goalie, but it's a guy to play 20 games. Can't be Vokie; even Ellis or Mason, as professional as they are, aren't really ready to settle back into that kinda' role.

D - well, that's where we had a near-elite guy that we lost who still plays at a high level, as well as a very good one. Not really arguable that we need a #3 guy back there, no matter how optimistic we want to be about our kids and how much time Cube can suck up. So, if money doesn't matter, Kimmo or Hammer would obviously fit. In the end, if it's one season we're talking, I'm taking Kimmo; multiple seasons, I'm taking hammer.

and if we actually have to consider budget, I'm going to the 4th line and a guy that can play the PK; if Fids is considered budget, that's my guy. If not, I'm gonna' live with the stupid penalties and take Nichol.
