One of the great things about being a beginner is people will go out of their way to give you tips. Last time I was on the ice a vet pulled me aside to give me tips on passing. Another guy, a former minor leaguer, told me where to go during pickup so I could score on his rebounds.

It's a great feeling to know people see what you're doing and want to help you get to where you want to be.
