CHL Looking to Challenge AHL Transfer Rule

http://ca.sports.yahoo.com/juniorhoc...rhockey-265398

The CHL has approached the NHL on the rule that let's players drafted outside of the CHL, but later end up playing in the CHL, that these players are currently not held to the CHL rule that states a drafted prospect has to be 20 years old or have played 4 full seasons in order to leave the CHL for the AHL.

John Carlson was able to leave the CHL for the AHL at 19 because he wasn't drafted out of the CHL. How this could relate to the Habs is with Jarred Tinordi. Say things go really well for him in London this year, as it stands now, the Habs could sign him next summer and put him in Hamilton, but the CHL would like to put a stop to this.
