Look at who went after Linhart:

Phoenix Dave LeNeveu G Cornell University (NCAA)
Ottawa Alexei Kaygorodov Magnitogorsk Metallurg (Russia)
St. Louis Alexei Shkotov Elemash Elektrostal (Russia)
Vancouver Kirill Koltsov D Omsk Avangard (Russia)
Los Angeles Sergei Anshakov HC CSKA (Russian Jr.)
New Jersey Anton Kadeykin Elemash Elektrostal (Russia)
San Jose Dan Spang Winchester [Mass H.S.]
New Jersey Barry Tallackson U. of Minnesota (NCAA)
Chicago Duncan Keith Michigan State University (NCAA)
Vancouver Denis Grot Elemash Elektrostal (Russia)
Boston Vladislav Yevseyev HC CSKA (Russian Jr.)
Toronto Matthew Stajan L Belleville Bulls (OHL)
Detroit Jiri Hudler F Vsetin HC (Czech)
Washington Maxime Daigneault G Val-d'Or Foreurs (QMJHL)
Tampa Bay Adam Henrich L Brampton Battalion (OHL)
Colorado Johnny Boychuk R Calgary Hitmen (WHL)
St. Louis Andrei Mikhnov C Sudbury Wolves (OHL)
Detroit Tomas Fleischmann Vitkovice Jrs. (Czech)

The players in bold look like much, much better prospects than Linhart at this point.
agree 10000000%... it was a very stupid pick imo.. Not that I'm a Hudler fan but he deserved a shot at the pick. Koltsov too... Anyways!
