Nonsensical statement.

Fantasy and reality are two very different things. In fantasy, Luongo accepts a 30m/5 year contract. In reality.. well, it remains to be seen.

4 or 5 years, which is also known as our "window to win," but it remains to be seen. When he declines, we've the "out-clause" at the 7th year of the contract. Then we deal him to a team struggling to reach the cap floor, who will be paying a reduced salary while reaping the benefits of saving money because of the big cap hit.
Luongo's contract is very well thought out and planned by the club...the out clauses are there for a reason. I agree having this contract terminated would be horrible for the Canucks.
